    How to use

    The science behind the shot

    A peer-reviewed pilot study in Frontiers in Nutrition (Clayton et al., 2023) tested the Raw Turmeric Original Shot in 24 elite male footballers, with half drinking two shots a day across eight competitive matches. What it found:

    • Players taking the shots reported noticeably less muscle soreness, in both the legs and across the whole body, throughout the study.
    • Their blood showed significantly lower C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation, 64 hours after matches.
    • Markers of direct muscle damage, jump height and leg strength were unchanged.

    It was the first study in elite footballers to suggest a daily turmeric shot may help with post-match soreness between sessions, though as a small, unblinded pilot study, it should be seen as an encouraging early signal rather than the final word. The Turmeric Co. had no role in collecting or interpreting the data.

It is scientifically proven that turmeric root contains up to 5% curcumin; our natural shots are made using a fresh blend of organic raw turmeric (35g per shot) therefore each 60ml shot contains naturally occurring levels of up to 1,750mg curcumin.     Hi, just wondering but is there a refund available if this product doesn’t work out for me ? For paying over £60 a month for one tiny shot a day I would expect to feel the benefits of it, if not then it’s a total waste of money and I would rather just add tumetic to my food for a fraction of the price.
