Like all businesses, our actions impact the planet – both positively and negatively.
Our drinks have helped thousands of people improve their diets and achieve their health goals, with a sustainable initiative throughout the core of our business, a key driver of our decision making process.
Ideally, we’d like our footprint to shrink as our business grows, which is why we’re always looking for ways we can make our drinks as good for the planet as they are for your body.
Our partnership with courier and delivery service Evri elevates our Recycling Returns initiative.
Customers are able to choose from 3 easy, environmentally-conscious ways to return all of their delivery packaging back to our HQ for recycling!
The ‘p’ word is coming – but wait, there’s a twist.
Our drinks undergo a natural process of preservation called High-Pressure Processing (HPP). Importantly, this occurs after the bottles have been filled and sealed. This way, rather than “heat” our wonderful ingredients, which the majority of juices go through via pasteurisation, we retain every ingredient's freshness without compromising their nutritional value. The result? A completely fresh, cold-pressed product that still has a shelf-life viable for retail.
As it’s the only material that’ll withstand the pressure of this process, we have no choice but to use plastic.
Our plastic bottles are made entirely of eco-friendly material. Entirely!? Yes, entirely. They’re made from 75% recycled plastic (rPET) and 25% biodegradable plastic. These are plastics developed from sugar cane instead of environmentally damaging fossil fuels – which makes them fully recyclable.
At the moment, this is our only environmentally friendly solution – as soon as there’s a better one, you can count on us to be the first to adopt it.
We’ve always been committed to being eco-friendly and sustainable, but this one is a major milestone.
Being ‘carbon neutral’ means that all of our products are made without causing any net damage to the environment in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.
This has been achieved by offsetting our footprint through ClimatePartner’s biomass project, that uses renewable materials such as coconut shells and sugar cane residue (the same material we use in our shot bottles!) to generate clean energy.
We are so humbled to have some truly inspirational figures stand beside us.
Our ambassadors are such an important part of the success and mission of The Turmeric Co., and this is no different when it comes to sustainability.
That’s why we’re especially keen to have people like Saskia Sills on board: her work to reduce single-use plastics in the drinks industry has been superb.
