A dose of life. Story no. 02

She learned to be a mechanic from scratch. Her son is aiming for Formula One.

With no experience, no legacy, and no one to show her how, Mitika taught herself motorsport from the ground up, learning to be a mechanic just to give her son Kai a shot at Formula One.

This is her story

Starting from scratch

Go-karting is where Formula One begins, and it's a closed world, dominated by families with money, history, and experience.

Mitika and her son Kai arrived with none of it.

As first-generation racers they were one of the newest pairs on the grid, and Mitika taught herself to be a mechanic from scratch just to keep Kai on track.

While the other parents stayed in the motorhomes, Mitika was trackside, in the areas the mums were never in. With Kai's dad working weekends, everything fell to her.

The commitment is total. They leave for the track on a Thursday evening and aren't home until Sunday, weekend after weekend, missing the parties and the ordinary things other families take for granted. They started in October, spent months winging it, and learned to go into a race weekend hoping for a top ten. Then came the day it all clicked, when Kai grabbed third within the opening lap and held on through a fight that ran to the final corner, taking his first podium.

"I didn't feel like I belonged there, but there was no other option for me."

The shot Mitika packs for every race weekend

Raw Turmeric Original. Same one, every track.

While he races

Every weekend, for Kai

For Mitika, this was never about her. It's about giving Kai the chance she never had, and watching hard work finally pay off.

A mum-and-son team is still a rare sight in the paddock, but Mitika doesn't think it should define them. They turn up, try their best, and keep going. The weekends are relentless, so the small constants matter, and a Raw Turmeric Original is one of them, the same shot Mitika keeps in the kit bag from Thursday to Sunday. She likes that it's built on real watermelon juice rather than the cheap apple or orange filler she'd find elsewhere.

These are the stories worth telling. Honest accounts from the real people who drink The Turmeric Co. blends, in their own words. Some are chasing Formula One, and some are simply getting through the weekend, but all of them count.

"When I saw Kai on the podium, it just felt like he was being rewarded for all his hard work."

Pack the same shot Mitika does

Mitika and Kai drink Raw Turmeric Original on every race weekend, the same shot you can build your own routine around.

The Turmeric Co. was created by Premier League and Wales footballer Hal Robson-Kanu, who spent more than 15 years perfecting the recipe during his own playing career. Today the shots are trusted by athletes across football, rugby, and high-performance sport, as well as by everyday people who just want to keep moving.

Every Raw Turmeric Original is built around raw turmeric root making up almost a third of each shot, blended with watermelon, pineapple, lemon, the BioMax Uptake Blend® of black pepper to help the body take up more of the turmeric, and added magnesium and vitamin C.

Each shot is fortified with vitamin C and magnesium. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage, and magnesium contributes to normal muscle function.
