Turmeric Latte Recipe

Traditionally drunk in India as part of an Ayurvedic diet, turmeric lattes or Golden Milk lattes have hit our shores in a big way, as the newest craze that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. With our new fresh root bags just launched, access to fresh turmeric is easier than ever. Team Turmeric have put together a recipe for our very own Turmeric Latte, packed full of health benefits. We think you’ll really love it. And once you’ve made it you can share a pic on insta and tag us with your steaming mug of loveliness.

Golden Milk Moustaches at the ready….

Ingredients:

fresh turmeric root – 2 roots (peeled)

fresh ginger – 2cm piece (peeled)

honey – teaspoon

almond/cashew nut milk –  2 cups

almond/cashew nut butter – teaspoon

cinnamon –  half a teaspoon (ground)

vanilla essence – half teaspoon

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a blender until frothy and blended
  2. Heat on low in a small heavy based pan until slightly bubbling
  3. Serve in a mug with an extra sprinkling of cinnamon on top to serve.

A Bit About The Ingredients!

Turmeric Root – known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties, its wonderful for soothing sore muscles, now available from us, right here! 

Honey – a natural sweetener, also carrying antibacterial properties.

Cinnamon – this spice is known to reduce blood sugar levels. Cinnamon also has antioxidant properties.

Ginger – known to reduce blood sugar levels, research also shows ginger improves the risk factors in heart disease.
